I started drawing when I was 8 years old. I have always been fascinated with ancient, indigenous people and wild animals. I am part anthropologist at heart wishing to portray the beauty of the wild, primitive and indigenous beings. Many of my paintings tell a story about them that dominant cultures often are not aware of. I feel compelled to show their beauty and hopefully inspire others to love them as much as I do.
My style is a combination of realism and impressionism. I love to combine elements of fantasy with realism. My art inspirations are from Van Gogh, Degas, Mucha, Sargent, Rembrandt and many more. My medias are a combination of pastel, watercolor, ink and oil.
