Teri Starkweather
My paintings portray scenes from a home, garden or landscape using a precise and luminous style. My work has been described as sparkling and voluptuous. I paint the familiar using watercolor or oils, in a heightened state of glowing awareness to show the viewer that love and light are all around us. I hope to share the connection to all living things that we all have.
I won the American Artist cover competition with my watercolor painting, “Sunflowers and Coffee”, which was on the cover of the June 2010 issue of American Artist Magazine. This same painting received the Holbein Merchandise Award in Women in Watercolor International Competition in 2022. In 2023 I won second place in the International Artist Magazine, Feb/Mar issue. I am a Master Signature artist of Watercolor West.
I have exhibited at the Oceanside Museum, Springfield Art Museum, Vestment Museum of Art, and Brea Gallery, California. My work is in art collections all over the world.
