Karine Langevin KJL

Karine Langevin (KJL) is a visual artist specializing in resin and mixed media on canvas, which she explores in a unique Pop Art style.
With a degree in Fine Arts, after experimenting with various pictorial trends and processes, she has devoted herself fully to her practice since 2005. Her work focuses on condensing emotion into material and colour, developing a specific theme for each piece.
Each painting is conceived as a visual narrative, a journey in which the viewer discovers hidden elements, like clues in a treasure hunt.
In her studio in Gif-sur-Yvette, south of Paris, she creates colourful, translucent surfaces, animated by glossy reliefs that can be seen in the videos associated with her works.
Portraiture is at the heart of her research: women occupy a central place, conveying character and message, interacting with the surrounding light.
Since 2019, Karine Langevin has been represented by several galleries, and her works are exhibited internationally, notably in the United States and several European countries.
