Bali Love Jenkins: Creating a Fairer Future for Artists Through Opulent Art
From struggling artist to visionary founder, Bali Love Jenkins is changing how artists are discovered, celebrated, and connected with collectors around the world.
After experiencing first-hand the financial pressures, rejection, and limited opportunities that many artists face, Bali Love Jenkins, founder of Opulent Art, decided it was time to challenge the traditional art-world model. With a BA and Master’s in Fine Art, followed by specialised studies in Art Business at Sotheby’s Institute of Art, Bali brings together creative experience and commercial expertise to build a platform where artists can gain the visibility and opportunities they deserve.
From immersive digital galleries and international art fairs to interactive buyers’ catalogues and global social media promotion, Opulent Art is creating more than a place to sell art—it is building a culture around it. Its mission is simple yet ambitious: to help artists at every stage of their careers be seen, heard, valued, and connected with collectors worldwide.
In this interview, Bali Love Jenkins shares the personal experiences that inspired Opulent Art, why she believes the traditional gallery model needs to evolve, and her vision for creating a more accessible, supportive, and exciting future for artists.
“Every artist starts unknown. My mission is to give them the visibility and opportunities to thrive.”
What inspired you to start Opulent Art, and what was the vision behind it?
I know first-hand the exhausting struggle of being an artist. After completing my BA and Master’s in Fine Art, I poured everything into my craft, traveling across the world to exhibit at international art fairs only to find that the costs far outweighed the few sales I made. Traditional galleries constantly ignored and shut out artists. My turning point came when I took a leap of faith to exhibit alongside celebrities at a major charity event, which gave me vital visibility. I realised the system was deeply unfair. I founded Opulent Art on a fundamental truth: every single artist is unknown at the beginning. Opulent Art is a culture dedicated to the pursuit of visual splendour, built to give artists fair opportunities, visibility, and real breakthroughs that no other gallery provides.
How did your personal journey and experiences shape the way you approach the art business?
Experiencing the artist’s struggle first-hand gave me empathy, but I knew I needed commercial expertise to truly change things. I studied Art Business at Sotheby’s Institute of Art to master market dynamics, high-level gallery curation, and sales strategy. This dual background shapes everything I do: I protect the artist’s creative freedom while using elite business strategies to place their work directly in front of active global collectors.
What makes Opulent Art different from a traditional art gallery?
Traditional galleries gate keep, leave artists waiting in the dark, and passively rely on foot traffic. We operate remotely with Head offices in London, Milan, and Amsterdam. We respond to our artists immediately, build their confidence, and guide their social media and Instagram growth. Through our official partnership with Artsy, we place our global represented artist’s right alongside world-renowned figures like Damien Hirst. Above all, we create a fair, supportive environment where artists can have fun, fall in love with their creativity again, and thrive without unnecessary stress.

You have created galleries, immersive shows, a magazine, and a buyers’ catalogue. Why was it important to build an entire platform around art?
Our mission is to cultivate a global arts culture where fine art isn’t just sold—it’s celebrated, preserved, and woven into the fabric of a luxury lifestyle. Static gallery walls are not enough. Our interactive digital catalogues and curated magazines allow buyers to simply click an interactive link and purchase directly from our roster of hand-selected artists. We bring the art world into the comfort of collectors’ homes while ensuring our artists build a tangible visual and vocal presence.
What role do immersive art shows play in helping people connect with artists and their work?
Our immersive digital gallery spaces, interactive Art buyers catalogue and immense Social media promotions including getting Artists Heard and seen- this is our core USP—no other gallery presents art in this way. Through the OPULENT ART FAIR and OPULENT ART SOLO X, collectors can experience our artists’ work in a moving online gallery. It completely removes the financial burden of costly travel and shipping for the artists, allowing them to invest their money back into art materials and studio practice while still reaching buyers worldwide.
“I built Opulent Art to create a fairer, more supportive future for artists.”
How do you discover and decide which artists and artworks to feature through Opulent Art?
We represent a hand-selected collective of artists who challenge the boundaries of beauty and technique. Age, background, or career stage does not matter to me—whether an artist is young, new, emerging, or established, I look for authenticity, raw passion, and dedication. Because I have lived this journey myself, I see the brilliance in artists before the rest of the market catches up, giving them the breakthrough platform they deserve.

What have you learned from working with art collectors and buyers about what people are looking for today?
Modern collectors want seamless accessibility, trust, and a genuine emotional narrative. They are looking for investable pieces that elevate their lifestyle, and they appreciate our interactive digital access, which makes discovering and purchasing exceptional art effortless from anywhere in the world.
How has social media changed the way artists, galleries, and collectors connect with each other?
Social media has completely removed geographical limitations. We dedicate immense social media resources to promoting our artists daily, ensuring their voices and artwork are seen and heard on a global stage 24/7. It bridges the gap between the studio and international living rooms in an instant. Unlike other galleries they ignore artists and make them feel undervalued. We value our artists.

What challenges have you faced while building Opulent Art, and how did you overcome them?
I started Opulent Art completely on my own with no support. Building an international brand without financial backing required sheer resilience and relentless focus. By staying true to our artist-first mission and innovating digital-first formats, we turned Opulent Art into a thriving global reality. There is no work life balance in business, you need to have an unstoppable mindset.
What is your vision for the future of Opulent Art, and what would you love to achieve next?
My vision is to continue expanding our presence beyond, while continually creating new tools, digital resources, and platforms for artists to gain massive visibility. I want Opulent Art to remain the ultimate launchpad where artists of all ages and stages are treated fairly, celebrated globally, and empowered to achieve lasting creative and financial success.
