Lana Frey is inspired by history, myths, and legends, which often serve as the foundation for her paintings. Above all, she is drawn to emotions, viewing daily life as a rich mixture of love, joy, desire, sadness, and countless other feelings. Through colour and harmonious form, she seeks to capture and express these emotional states. Using a palette knife, Lana works in fast, bold strokes to preserve the immediacy of her feelings and visions. She avoids planning colour variations or sketching faces, believing that with thick layers of paint, spontaneity is essential. For her, painting is a living, improvisational process.

Constantly experimenting with new styles, forms, and subjects, Lana enjoys blending approaches often considered incompatible. Rarely focusing on a single work at a time, she maintains a rhythm of daily painting.

Her creative process is rooted in emotional expression: she throws paint onto the canvas, removes what does not resonate, and preserves what feels beautiful. Repeating this cycle, she shapes raw energy into finished artworks.
