Rafa Mateo is a Spanish artist and designer trained in industrial design and architecture. He developed his professional career in Barcelona, where he was part of the creative generation that redefined Spanish visual culture during the 1990s. He currently lives in Granada, from where he pursues an artistic practice that explores the relationship between geometry, colour, and digital processes, blending artisanal execution with technological mediation.

Through a distinctive method that combines hand drawing, digital vectorization, and painting on canvas, he builds a visual language positioned between abstraction and pop art. His works question the boundaries between tradition and innovation, emphasizing the poetic tension between the tactile and the virtual.

Alongside his artistic work, he directs his design studio, maintaining a continuous dialogue between design, art, and contemporary culture.
