Steve has been seriously painting for approximately 25 years and prior to that he would sketch or work with watercolors. Steve is a self taught artist. Steve worked professionally as a Physician Associate in surgery and he would paint in his free time. As he started to accumulate thematic pieces of artwork and created a portfolio of such, with names like "Floral", he decided to go professional. Steve primarily sells his work on the internet and by word of mouth. Steve retired in 2016 and since then he paints just about every day of the week. Steve is a photorealistic painter, with a degree of artistic license. A large amount of his inspiration is derived from places he has visited. His work is all done with acrylic paint on canvas. Steve let's the painting speak for itself, and he read somewhere that an artist should paint what they like and he does.
