Zuzana Petrakova employs a combination of abstract scenery and female figures to depict tenderness and power of femininity. While previously painting abstract landscapes, she became fascinated by the narrative art and surreal, emotive portraits of women.

Her paintings strive to create a sense of vibrant, dancing spaces, where one can return to nature as the original sanctuary of life. Working with specific color pallete of pink and earthy hues, she underlines softness, nurture and growth. Centre of her attention is the connection between woman and nature, mutual intimate relationships and motherhood.

She studied at the Faculty of Art Education, Comenius University in Bratislava. The central theme of her work is the intimacy of being, interpersonal relationships and the presence of human in the landscape. In the painting, she discovers expressive forms by which she depicts the spiritual and psychological aspects of the human soul.

Her paintings are characterized by a palette of pink, grey and earthy neutral shades, the flow of lines and the layering of coloured shapes. By gradually creating images, she dives into the deeper levels of identity, values ​​and relationships. Painting as a medium is synonymous with the nature of life, the main principle of her workflow is maximum creativity
